Asymmetrical Ellis sweater from Fibre Mood

There is a new Fibre Mood * released and I got to sew a great sweater from it, the Ellis sweater . The Ellis sweater is very quick sew but stands out because of the split neckband and waistband, such a fun detail! And of course the diagonal colour block is right up my alley.   Our girl picked out the fabric herself, at least the fireworks fabric. I picked out the matching fabric. The print works well with the large piece. The sweater is a bit roomy, that is because there is a size 6 and a size 8 and she doesn't fit in the size 6, but the size 8 is still a bit big on her. Well she can grow into it. At textielstad I bought a couple of multicolour threads . I felt this was the perfect project to try it out and indeed it matches the colours in the sweater very well. Celebration time: Regina add-on

It's celebration time over at Sofilantjes*, 20.000 members in the Sofilantjes Facebook group, wow! Therefore, there is a great new add-on being released for the Regina tunic and dress. This new add-on includes a low back (isn't it beautiful?) and a half circle skirt!
Remember the Regina tunic and dress? Of course you do! With those amazing sleeve details! I already sewed a tunic and a dress for our eldest, now it was time for our middle daughter to get a Regina dress.
If you own the Regina you can find the new add-on in your account. The great part about the new skirt is that now you can choose your skirt according to the amount of fabric you have. A circle skirt needs much more fabric than a half circle skirt. I love the low back! I couldn't stop making photos!

One Thimble 22 blog tour: Piper Pinny dress

My daughter loves twirly dresses and then suddenly during summer we saw this denim dress without any twirl factor and she instantly loves it! Complete mind changer. So when I saw the Piper Pinny in the newest One Thimble 22 *, I knew our girl would just love it. I have a large fabric stash, but besides that I also have a large upcyclying stash. Especially with denim, I just can't let go and feel like I need to save every denim jeans that we have owned in our household. So when I have a denim sewing project I try to use my large pile of old jeans.This pair of jeans comes out of my mother's stash as my stash is in storage due to our upcoming move.
