There is a new Fibre Mood * released and I got to sew a great sweater from it, the Ellis sweater . The Ellis sweater is very quick sew but stands out because of the split neckband and waistband, such a fun detail! And of course the diagonal colour block is right up my alley. Our girl picked out the fabric herself, at least the fireworks fabric. I picked out the matching fabric. The print works well with the large piece. The sweater is a bit roomy, that is because there is a size 6 and a size 8 and she doesn't fit in the size 6, but the size 8 is still a bit big on her. Well she can grow into it. At textielstad I bought a couple of multicolour threads . I felt this was the perfect project to try it out and indeed it matches the colours in the sweater very well. Blog tours are a great way to push me to start sewing. For the back to school blog tour by Bella Sunshine Designs * I used three different patterns to start my fall sewing. Although it is still searing hot here I sewed an outfit that she can wear once she goes back to school and most likely the weather will be back to its usual self (which means rain). I used two free patterns, the Eden Leggings and the Reagan Raglan t-shirt (free with the code in the BSD Facebook group ), and combined these with the Apple Cardigan by Bella Sunshine Designs . This is a first time for me to create one whole outfit that fits together and it took me a while to find the right combination of fabrics that fit together. I am really happy with the result, but I can imagine that some might find it quite bold (I guess most of my outfits are quite bold to others). Although I think this outfit is one of my least bold combinations. The Apple Cardigan is a great cardigan...
