Asymmetrical Ellis sweater from Fibre Mood

There is a new Fibre Mood * released and I got to sew a great sweater from it, the Ellis sweater . The Ellis sweater is very quick sew but stands out because of the split neckband and waistband, such a fun detail! And of course the diagonal colour block is right up my alley.   Our girl picked out the fabric herself, at least the fireworks fabric. I picked out the matching fabric. The print works well with the large piece. The sweater is a bit roomy, that is because there is a size 6 and a size 8 and she doesn't fit in the size 6, but the size 8 is still a bit big on her. Well she can grow into it. At textielstad I bought a couple of multicolour threads . I felt this was the perfect project to try it out and indeed it matches the colours in the sweater very well. Women's Stonecrop Tank Top

The weather is great so time for tank tops. Tank tops are my favourite type of top to wear during summer. Two weeks ago I showed you the stonecrop tank top kids for our girls . Now also the  stonecrop tank top Adult by MW Patterns * is available. Once I sewed up the stonecrop tank top for our girls I knew I wanted one with those flattering side panels as well. Of course I love the pattern because of the colour blocking but also because of the side panels which are great for your figure. There is also a plain version of the tank top available and another colour blocking option, which I made for our middle daughter (you can see it here ). I really like the curved hem on the front. I am less a fan of the binding on the top. I have been sewing binding almost non stop the last weeks. So my binding skills have improved, still it is not my favourite sewing activity. Kid's Stonecrop Tank top

I love colour blocking and the  Stonecrop tank top kids  by MW Patterns * is just perfect for that. The tank top has three different options. I sewed the two options with colour blocking, there is also the option of a plain tank top in just one fabric. Now that summer is almost here it is a great time to sew tank tops. I love patterns that include colour block options because your can use smaller scraps for those and you can combine different fabrics. I sewed this skirt for our eldest a couple of weeks ago. It is blue with silver (glitter) lines on it and I had some fabric left. Perfect to match the tank top with the skirt.  For our middle daughter I chose some leftover fabric from this peplum top . I find this fabric difficult to combine with other fabric because it is already a busy print. I do love the match with a leftover from this dress .  The neck and arms are done with binding. Biker Coverall with snaps

I think almost everybody recognizes the distinct collar of the Biker jacket, sweater and coverall by  MW Patterns *. I love that collar! When I had the opportunity to sew the Biker coverall I jumped on that opportunity. I like coveralls, but only for kids when they are small and are not potty trained yet. Once they get older I do not find coveralls too handy anymore. Luckily I have a newborn, born a couple of weeks ago, to sew a coverall for! The Biker Coverall comes in a wide range of sizes, 56 until 110. These are European sizes, which means the size corresponds to the length of the kid. The smallest size is for a baby with the length of 56 cm. Our baby is small and is still wearing 50. Nevertheless, I sewed the 56 so that she can grow into it the coming weeks/months. Small kids already outgrow their clothes so soon, so hopefully she can wear it for a longer time. As you can see it is still big on her. No limit dress - MW Patterns

Another easy to sew dress, which looks great! Everybody must know the Biker jacket by MW Patterns *. But this is not the only pattern they have. They have several cute patterns and the No limit dress is one of them. The No limit dress by MW Patterns is a dress pattern with lots of options, sleeveless, short sleeves, puffed short sleeves, long sleeves and puffed long sleeves. Additionally, it has a gathered skirt, a half circle skirt and a full circle skirt. Well I couldn't think of more options you could ask for. I made regular short sleeves and a half circle skirt. I have made a couple of circle skirts lately, so I wanted to do something else for this dress and gave the half circle skirt a try (it was the first time for me). I like that you do not need too much fabric for these half circle skirts and they still twirl nicely. The patterns from MW Patterns also come in a large size range.
