Asymmetrical Ellis sweater from Fibre Mood

There is a new Fibre Mood * released and I got to sew a great sweater from it, the Ellis sweater . The Ellis sweater is very quick sew but stands out because of the split neckband and waistband, such a fun detail! And of course the diagonal colour block is right up my alley.   Our girl picked out the fabric herself, at least the fireworks fabric. I picked out the matching fabric. The print works well with the large piece. The sweater is a bit roomy, that is because there is a size 6 and a size 8 and she doesn't fit in the size 6, but the size 8 is still a bit big on her. Well she can grow into it. At textielstad I bought a couple of multicolour threads . I felt this was the perfect project to try it out and indeed it matches the colours in the sweater very well. Wallacia Hi Lo skirt - Wicked Patterns

Our girls love skirts and high low skirts are the best (the longer the skirts, the better). Meet the Wallacia Hi Lo Skirt from Wicked Patterns. A hi-lo skirt that you can sew within an hour. It is a quick sew that looks great!'
I sewed two skirts during testing and used the different options. There are two different hem lines, with a curved hem (blue skirt) and a straight hem (flower skirt) and with pockets (flower skirt) or without pockets (blue skirt).
I had a piece of fabric of 50 cm and that was enough for the skirt for our 6 year old (size 6 in length). Perfect for those smaller pieces you still have lying around. It is a versatile skirt perfect for our raining days here, but also great for our upcoming (hopefully) warm summer! The skirt is on sale until Sunday March 15th.
Fabric: blue fabric with glitter lines was a coupon at the Stoffenstraat. The flower fabric is a Lillestoff design that comes from Joyfits.

Sizing: 1-14
Options: curved skirt or straight skirt, with or without pockets.
Difficulty: Advanced beginner
Sewing time: 1 hour

One Thimble 22 blog tour: Piper Pinny dress

My daughter loves twirly dresses and then suddenly during summer we saw this denim dress without any twirl factor and she instantly loves it! Complete mind changer. So when I saw the Piper Pinny in the newest One Thimble 22 *, I knew our girl would just love it. I have a large fabric stash, but besides that I also have a large upcyclying stash. Especially with denim, I just can't let go and feel like I need to save every denim jeans that we have owned in our household. So when I have a denim sewing project I try to use my large pile of old jeans.This pair of jeans comes out of my mother's stash as my stash is in storage due to our upcoming move.
