I was also one of those 22 ladies that went on a sewing weekend last weekend. You might have seen already several posts from the other ladies of our awesome weekend away in Belgium. Read until the end of the post to take a chance in winning a goodiebag! As you can see many different garments were made. I made 5 in total, 2 for our girls, one gift and 2 for myself. I usually sew a lot for our girls, but not so much for myself. This was a great opportunity to spend some time on sewing for myself. I saw a call for a blog tour, a blog tour for Sofilantjes *!! Of course I jumped on that bandwagon as quickly as I could. I love the designs of Sofilantjes ! Who doesn't?! The Orbis skinny harem is a great pattern. I like to sew pants that look different from the store bought ones. The Orbis skinny harem fits that description very well. Again I was one of the lucky testers of a pattern by The Eli Monster . The Latona Dress has an amazing back. The buttons might scare you away, but it is so worth it. It is a dress for woven fabric and looks even better with some tulle underneath. I might actually make a crinoline (petticoat) for underneath. The skirt itself stands nice and wide and our eldest loves how it twirls! And of course the dress has pockets! You can get the Latona Dress  on the website of The Eli Monster. When I started sewing I never imagined sewing underwear or pyjama's. You can easily find these in a store and they are also very cheap. However, the benefit of sewing clothing is that you can adapt all the clothing to your own needs. When our eldest started with potty training she was pretty skinny and small so the store bought underwear didn't really fit her. Enter homemade underwear. She really loved the homemade underwear. The joy she gets out of choosing one of the colourful pieces of underwear is enough for me, plus I think the underwear are one of the most worn pieces I have sewn. For this batch I used the Kid's s crundlewear  from  Stitch Upon a Time* . It just fits perfect. I used knit jersey for both the underwear as for the binding.  For the first batch of underwear I combined the Van Katoen underwear pattern (free Dutch pattern with lots of pics) with the Tooshies from Flosstyle because I wanted binding on the underwear so that the underwear...

Let's start this blog with a test that I did recently for  Jennuine Design . I was lucky to get chosen to test the  Divided Dress . It is a great dress to use all your small scraps as well for colour blocking. I just love colour blocking in clothing, that is why it is so great to sew for your kids or for yourself. I sewed the 6-9 M, our little one year old is quite small for her age. She perfectly fits the dress, I did not need to change anything! I made the colour blocked front with long sleeves.
